In Fergana, an intoxicated prevention inspector killed a pensioner

The district police officer did not provide first aid to the victim and fled.

In the Fergana region, a drunk prevention inspector hit a pensioner on his bicycle and fled the scene, Kun reports.

The accident occurred on September 16 at 19:15 in the Furkat district. A local police officer, driving a Matiz, hit a 63-year-old man on his bicycle. The pensioner died on the spot from severe injuries. According to eyewitnesses and relatives of the deceased, the driver fled the scene without providing first aid to the victim.

Upon learning of the incident, the district police officer’s father took the man lying in the ditch at the edge of the field to the hospital. He told the doctors that he found the victim unconscious. His death was confirmed in the emergency department. The deceased’s family demands a just punishment.

Could an internal affairs officer drive a car while intoxicated? Shouldn’t he set an example for others? We cannot forgive him for not providing first aid to my husband. We cannot accept what happened, — said the deceased’s wife.

According to the district medical association’s traumatologist, the man was already taken to the hospital dead. He had blood clots in his mouth and nose. There were contusions on the inner side of the left hand, and injuries to the head, chest, and back were also recorded. The district police officer admitted his guilt and was taken into custody. The prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation.

Recall that in Bukhara, an excavator driver killed a pensioner. The man didn’t notice the elderly woman, now he faces up to seven years in prison.
