On October 16, in the Fergana region, a Spark driver collided with a Lacetti while turning, after which it hit a pedestrian standing on the side of the road, the press service of the regional traffic police reported.
The incident occurred around 8:10 a.m. on the 282nd kilometer of the A-373 Tashkent-Osh highway, at the intersection of Mustakillik and Andijon streets in Yozyovon district. The driver, born in 1964, was driving a Spark and, attempting to turn, collided with a Lacetti car.
As a result, the driver of the Lacetti lost control and hit a pedestrian, a citizen born in 1991, who was standing on the side of the road. The victim sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized. An investigation has been launched into the incident.
Recall that in Fergana, a driver hit three schoolchildren at a pedestrian crossing near a school. The children were injured, one was hospitalized.
