In Fergana, a driver hit three schoolchildren at a pedestrian crossing near a school

The children were injured, one was hospitalized.

On October 16, a passenger car driver hit three schoolchildren at a pedestrian crossing in the Fergana region, the press service of the regional traffic police reported.

The incident occurred around 12:30 PM on Margilan city’s Margiloniy street. A driver, born in 1998, driving a Nexia, hit three students who were crossing the road through an unregulated pedestrian crossing in front of School No.

As a result of the accident, three schoolchildren were injured, one was hospitalized, and two others received first aid. An investigation into the case has begun.

Previously, it was reported that authorities plan to strengthen traffic control near schools by the end of 2025. In the first three months of 2025, no accidents involving children or near schools were recorded in Uzbekistan.
