In Andijan, a man blackmailed his ex-wife with personal photos

In the Andijan region, a man was detained for extorting money from an acquaintance he had previously had a romantic relationship with for not posting her personal photos, the press service of the regional Department of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the information, the incident occurred in the Shahrixon district. A local resident engaged in intimate relations with an acquaintance, and after some time began demanding money from her, threatening to post their correspondence, as well as personal video recordings and photos on social networks.

Law enforcement officers detained the offender during an operational event with a suspect, while receiving money. As a result, law enforcement officers initiated a criminal case under Article 165 (Extortion), and also charged the man with disclosing confidential information and intimidating a woman to seize her property. Investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, it was reported that a man in Bukhara extorted money from a former woman for not sharing her intimate photos. The perpetrator secretly photographed and videotaped the woman and was apprehended while receiving the money.
