On January 14, reports circulated on social media that a woman had attempted suicide in Andijan. The regional police department commented on the incident.
It was discovered that the incident occurred around 8:00 a.m. in Andijan’s Ishchilar mahalla on a bridge crossing Navoi Avenue. A woman born in 2003, experiencing a “change in her psycho-emotional state”, climbed onto the bridge and intended to jump.
An investigative team immediately arrived at the scene and, working with other relevant agencies, prevented the incident. The prosecutor’s office is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
As a reminder, in Tashkent, law enforcement officers rescued a man who attempted suicide. The drunk man was about to jump down from the bridge.
