On October 13, information circulated on social media about a schoolgirl being beaten at school by her classmates. The Department of Public Education commented on the incident.
It was revealed that the beating occurred on September 20th in the 4th grade of School №300. Five boys attacked a classmate — they took turns hitting her back and chest, and kicking her. The school administration reported the incident to the precinct inspector and the school’s inspector-psychologist.
As a result of the investigation, the parents of the students involved in the fight were brought to administrative responsibility under Article 47 (Failure to fulfill their duties in the upbringing and education of children). They face a fine of 5 BCV (2 million 60 thousand soums). In addition, disciplinary measures were taken against the school principal and responsible persons.
