In the Fergana region, a citizen attempted to smuggle drugs into the fuel tank of a car, the State Security Service press service reported.
At the Ravot border checkpoint in Beshariq district, a Lacetti car entering from Tajikistan was inspected. The car was driven by a resident of the Uzbekistan district, born in 1979. During the inspection, it was revealed that narcotic drugs were hidden in the car’s fuel tank:
- 10 kg 739 g of hashish;
- 412 g of marijuana;
- 35 g of opium;
- 6,945 tablets of potent Royal medicinal products.
A criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 246 (Smuggling) and part 5 of Article 273-25 (Attempted illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale, as well as their sale) of the Criminal Code. An investigation has begun.
Recall that dozens of kilograms of drugs were seized from Tajikistan in Kokand. Criminal cases have been initiated in all cases.
