“Don’t be a rag”: Speech Therapist Dilorom Jabbarova is once again at the center of the scandal.

The notorious speech therapist Dilorom Jabbarova has once again drawn public attention. A video of her conducting a lesson with a boy using extremely harsh and controversial methods has spread online.

The footage shows her throwing objects at the child and demanding he scream at the top of his lungs, claiming this would help him “not to be a rag”.

During the lesson, Jabbarova explains to the boy that if someone orders him to “close the door”, he should not obey — instead, according to her, he should “enter through a window or fortochka” to prove his strength.

Later, the speech therapist compares the child to an artificial flower, stating:

It has more life than you. You are alive, but you are not among the people. You are like a shadow: you move back and forth, but you are not there.

Recall that on July 15, the press service of the Children’s Ombudsman’s Office clarified the situation with the criminal case against the notorious defector Dilorom Jabbarova, who gained fame for her unconventional treatment methods.

Law enforcement officers took on the role of “defectologist” at the beginning of 2024 after a video circulated on social media showing methods of “treating” a child from stuttering using screams, matting, and intimidation. Often during sessions, sharp objects, ropes, candles, chess pieces, and other strange objects are featured.

In the spring of 2024, a criminal case was initiated against Dilorom Jabbarova under the article of fraud, based on the application of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights, and an expert working group also identified signs of physical and psychological violence in the treatment methods of the “defectologist”. Additionally, signs of selling their services and seizing others’ property through deception and abuse of people’s trust have been approved.

Dilorom Jabbarova was threatened with a fine of up to 100 BCV, or correctional labor for up to two years, or restriction of freedom from one year to three years, or imprisonment for up to three years.

The criminal case did not prevent the woman from beginning to conquer the regions: on April 1, she opened a branch of the “Voice Academy” in Namangan. At the opening, a fateful lady in a luxurious red dress and with a long arrow in her hands greeted the parishioners and their children, led the prayer and lesson by voice. Some children were crying. In the publication, Dilorom Jabbarova also noted that the next opening point of the new center will be in Bukhara.

After this, law enforcement officers promised that Dilorom Jabbarova would not be able to continue her practice during the criminal case. In reality, the “academy” continued its work.

On April 17, 2025, the criminal case against Dilorom Jabbarova was completely terminated, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs decided not to inform the public about this. Dilorom Jabbarova continued her work, in one of the latest videos on her Instagram, a woman conducts a lesson with a plate on her head, making children bark on all fours.

The Office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights appealed to the General Prosecutor’s Office with a request, only after this did the prosecutor’s office of the Yunusabad district of Tashkent cancel the termination of the criminal case against Dilorom Jabbarova, now the criminal case and investigation have been resumed.
