Car crashes from cliff in Samarkand region
A Nasaf football club fan died in the accident.

In the Samarkand region, a driver fell asleep while driving a KIA SONET car, causing the car to fall off a cliff, the passenger inside died, and the driver was hospitalized, the Road Safety Department’s press service reported.
According to the information, the incident occurred on October 31 at the 1113th kilometer of the M-39 highway in Urgut district. The driver of a car traveling from Samarkand to Qarshi fell asleep at the wheel and lost control. As a result, the car slid onto the sidewalk and then crashed off the cliff.
It is noted that two specialists in the car were rushed to the hospital, but the passenger, despite the doctors’ efforts, died. It was revealed that the man was a Nasaf football club fan returning from the Nasaf – Navbahor match. In this regard, the Uzbekistan Football Association expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased and the Nasaf football club. Law enforcement officers initiated a criminal case. Currently, investigative actions are underway.
Earlier, it was reported that a traffic accident involving Spark and Damas vehicles occurred in Tashkent, with some injured. Law enforcement officers have started an investigation into the accident.
