A young Uzbek worker died at a construction site in Russia

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg sent a note to the representative office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A 22-year-old young man from Surkhandarya region died at a construction site in Arkhangelsk, MKRU reports.

The young man fell from the fifth floor of a multi-story residential building under construction. According to preliminary information, the young man was carrying construction tools from the fifth to the sixth floor along the exterior of the building under construction. He lost his balance and fell from a height onto a concrete slab. Despite resuscitation efforts, the ambulance doctors confirmed the death.

The incident occurred on the territory of the “Korisa” residential complex under construction on Terehin Street. This complex belongs to the specialized developer “Northern Light”, which is part of the “Your Home” group of companies.

In connection with the tragic incident, the company expresses its deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased. We are aware of the seriousness of the incident and immediately initiated a thorough investigation of all circumstances of the incident with the involvement of experts in the field of labor protection and industrial safety, — the company said in a statement.

The developer promises to conduct a transparent investigation into this incident. Based on the results of the investigation, full information about the causes of the incident will be provided. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in St. Petersburg sent a corresponding note to the Russian Foreign Ministry’s representative office in the Arkhangelsk region.
