A resident of the Tashkent region attempted to take 30 jackals out of the country
The citizen did not declare the birds and tried to carry them under his clothes.
In the Tashkent region, law enforcement officers stopped an attempt to illegally transport 30 jackals under clothing, the press service of the regional customs department reports.
According to the information, the incident occurred at the “Navoi” customs post. During the scan of the man, whose suspicious movements were warned to the post staff, suspicious contours were found in the photos. A personal search revealed that the citizen had hidden 30 singing birds in his underwear.
The man did not declare the animals and did not report them during the oral survey. Currently, customs officials are investigating the incident.
Earlier, it was reported that a rare lemur was rescued from illegal sale in Tashkent. They wanted to sell the animal, which is under the highest level of international protection, at the poultry market.
