A fight broke out outside a banquet hall in Yangiyul
Law enforcement officers detained the fight participants and opened a criminal case.
A video from Yangiyul circulating on social media shows a group of young men assaulting two men. It was reported that the victims are in a serious condition. The Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs released the official account of the incident.
According to the department, the incident took place on September 10 around 21:00 in the courtyard of a banquet hall. Two men who knew each other previously argued, a fight ensued between them, and witnesses stepped in to try to separate them. Everything was recorded by surveillance cameras.
Law enforcement agencies detained those involved in the conflict. A criminal case has been opened under Article 277 of the Criminal Code (Hooliganism), and an investigation is ongoing.
Measures will be taken against all participants, and legality will be fully ensured, — the MDIA said in a statement.
There is no official information about the health status of the participants in the fight.
Earlier, it was reported that employees of two stores in Kokand had caused a threefold brawl. Not only the instigators of the fight, but also other employees of the retail outlets intervened, causing bodily harm to one another. All participants in the conflict have been detained and face the possibility of correctional labour.
