A compatriot suspected of committing a serious crime was returned to Uzbekistan from Egypt
The man was found thanks to the joint efforts of Interpol employees from both countries.

A compatriot who was wanted by Interpol on suspicion of committing a serious crime was returned to Uzbekistan from Egypt, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
According to the information, the man was apprehended thanks to joint searches and operational work by Interpol’s National Central Bureaus in Tashkent and Cairo. Specialists were able to determine his whereabouts and detain a citizen who was on an international wanted list for committing a serious crime.
Law enforcement officers deported the suspect to Uzbekistan in accordance with international treaties. It is noted that the man, who was returned to his homeland, will be held accountable before the law for the committed crime.
Earlier, it was reported that a member of a terrorist organization who had been wanted for 25 years had been returned to Uzbekistan. The Uzbek citizen participated in the fighting of international extremist groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria.
