Between January and August 2025, there were 4,350 road accidents in Tashkent, according to the Open Data Tashkent portal.
The largest number of accidents occurred in the Yunusabad district — 561. Next in the list are Chilanzar district with 555 cases and Yashnabad district with 554 traffic accidents. In the context of districts, the following are included in the list:
- Mirzo-Ulugbek District — 475;
- Shaykhantakhur District — 363;
- Almazar District — 337;
- Uchtepa District — 316;
- Sergeli District — 288;
- Mirobod District — 269;
- Bektemir District — 217;
- Yakkasaray District — 210;
- Yangihayot District — 205.
As a reminder, “beautiful” numbers will stop being sold at auctions. Instead, citizens will be issued numbers with custom-made letter and number combinations based on an electronic application.
