In Uzbekistan, over three months, from June to August, more than 60 thousand drivers were fined, the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate press service reported.

Based on the analysis findings:

  • 5 points — 4 people;
  • 4 points — 14 people;
  • 3 points — 129 people;
  • 2 points — 4976 people;
  • 1 point — 63,974 drivers.

During this period, 167 thousand violations were recorded. This represents a 58% reduction compared to the same period in 2024 (285 thousand). Additionally, the number of accidents caused by drivers’ fault decreased from 531 to 338, a 36% decline. Meanwhile, over 9.3 million drivers did not accumulate a single penalty point.

As a reminder, Uzbekistan has had a point system for fines for traffic violations since 1 June. The traffic police warned drivers that accumulating 12 points and then losing their driver’s licences is easier than it seems.

Earlier, it was reported that drivers could learn about the number of penalty points for violating traffic rules through the Unified Interactive Government Services Portal.
