Imports of electric vehicles to Uzbekistan have increased significantly

According to experts, the volume of electric car purchases has increased by tens of thousands of units.

Uzbekistan’s electric vehicle imports increased 2.5 times compared to 2024, according to the State Statistics Committee’s press service.

According to the agency, in January-September 2025, 40,345 electric vehicles worth a total of $473 million were imported into Uzbekistan from 16 foreign countries. The import volume increased by 24,140 units compared to the same period last year, or almost 2.5 times.

During this period, the most electric vehicles were delivered to Uzbekistan:

  • China – 39 798 units;
  • Hong Kong – 249 units;
  • South Korea – 165 units;
  • Germany – 43 units;
  • USA – 25 units;
  • Other countries – 65 units.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbeks had become less likely to buy foreign cars. At the same time, the sale of electric vehicles has increased significantly.
