Drivers will be able to avoid fines — senators adopted a new law
The new “punishment” measure will be applied for the first time, following the experience of foreign countries.

On November 1, the Senate adopted a law amending the Administrative Code, which introduces a new type of punishment.
The senators noted that the work being carried out to prevent offenses, to form an immunity in citizens to commit them, and to raise them as law-abiding citizens is not yielding the desired result.
In some foreign countries, in addition to penalties in the form of a fine for committing administrative offenses, penalties such as “oral warning” and “warning” are also applied. Instead of fining citizens who have committed minor administrative offenses for the first time, they are warned with explanations of the social consequences of their actions. This gives high results in practice in preventing such actions, — the message says.
The Administrative Code will clearly state violations that can be recorded through photo or video recording. Moreover, punishment for violation is applied no later than one month from the date of the offense. If the suspended fine “sticks” and is not issued in a timely manner, then the violation is canceled.
Only road users — pedestrians and drivers — can receive “punishment” in the form of a warning for traffic violations that pose a minor public danger, without fines or other serious consequences for the driver. During the consideration of the law in the Legislative Chamber, it was noted that such a warning may be applied only once within one year.
The amendments are not yet in effect, after the Legislative Chamber and the Senate, the document must be signed by the president.
