The underpass near the North Railway Station will be turned into a trade and service area

Trade and service points may appear in the underpass between “Tashkent” station and the Northern Railway Station, “Gazeta.uz” reports, citing the First Deputy Hokim of Tashkent for Finance, Economics and Poverty Reduction, Bakhtiyor Khaydarov.

According to the information, the official shared plans at the regular meeting of the People’s Deputies Council. Bakhtiyor Khaydarov noted that the project is planned to be implemented on the basis of public-private partnership. The representative of the capital’s administration recalled that previously, various shops and trade were located on this very territory.

It was a very lively place. And now, for several years, it has stood completely empty, — noted the deputy khokim of the city.

Also, Bakhtiyor Khaydarov said that it is planned to build projects on the territory that will attract more residents, and in the future, this same territory can be used for training centers, and part for trade and service facilities.

Earlier, it was reported that a new metro line would appear in Tashkent. The metro will be expanded to ten stations.
