On 9 September, Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced at a meeting on reforming the preschool and school education sectors that all deputy ministers of higher education, science, and innovation would be dismissed.

The President observed that changes are occurring in preschool and school education, programmes are functioning, and there are positive outcomes. However, officials responsible for vocational and higher education have not yet fully understood the core of the educational reforms.

In this regard, it was announced that all Deputy Ministers of Higher Education, Science and Innovation — First Deputy Shohrux Daliyev, Deputy Ministers Otabek Mahkamov and Sarvarxon Buzrukhonov will be dismissed.

By decree of the head of state, Adham Khudaykulov, Director of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Presidential Administration, and Sharof Rajabbayev, Director of the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, were dismissed from their positions due to their transfer to new roles.
