A unified virtual platform for state museums and museum-reserves has begun operating in Uzbekistan, where you can view their exhibits online, the press service of the Cultural Heritage Agency reports.

Currently, 360-degree images of more than 20 of the country’s largest exhibitions are presented on the platform. It is noted that users can interactively explore museum halls, historical monuments, and unique exhibits, as well as learn about their history and cultural value.

The authorities are implementing the project to popularize cultural heritage, increase Uzbekistanis’ interest in the country’s history, and ensure access to Uzbekistan’s museums for foreign tourists. In the future, the authorities plan to expand the list of museums, add text and audio descriptions of exhibits, and introduce new interactive features and virtual expositions.

Earlier, it was reported that Uzbeks can visit the country’s museums for free. But only for a few days.
